Succession Planning
Succession Planning is the process of identifying and developing people with the potential to fill key business leadership roles in a business.
Alternative candidates may include one or all of the following:

family members
-
existing employees
-
external parties
Execution of a Succession Plan in a private company often provides for some level of ownership transfer from the Existing Shareholder(s) to the Incoming Shareholder(s) and a related Shareholders Agreement being put in place. Click here for our comments on Shareholders Agreements.
Our role will include one or both of the following:

An Initial Valuation to complete the first phase of the Succession Plan.

An Annual Valuation thereafter in support of:

the Shareholders Agreement; and,

any subsequent transfers of share ownership in executing the Succession Plan.
